"Every now and then, a fragrance comes along and surprises you in the most delightful way Berry Shiver by L’Atelier Parfum is exactly one of those. Created by the talented Karine Vinchon-Spehner, this perfume is a playful yet elegant dance of fruits, flowers, and woods. It is vibrant, fresh, full of personality, yet also possesses an undeniable depth that keeps drawing me back.
The opening bursts with juicy, sparkling notes of bergamot, mandarin, and cardamom. The citrus notes are bright and invigorating, while the cardamom adds a subtle spicy touch that immediately captivates. It’s like stepping into a sun-drenched orchard on a crisp, refreshing morning, full of promise.
Then comes the heart, and this is where Berry Shiver truly delivers. Red fruits take center stage, their sweet-tartness perfectly balanced by the delicate flowers of jasmine and rose. The interplay between these notes is vibrant and joyful, never tipping into cloying sweetness it’s the natural ripeness of a freshly picked berry. There’s a certain richness here, yet tempered by real finesse.
The base, however, is what makes this fragrance shine in my eyes. The blend of patchouli, musk, blackcurrant, and sandalwood is simply enchanting. Patchouli brings an earthy richness, while musk adds a soft sensuality. Blackcurrant ties everything together with a slightly tangy fruitiness, and sandalwood provides a creamy, smooth finish that melds beautifully with the skin.
What I love most about Berry Shiver is its versatility. It’s fresh enough for daytime wear, yet possesses just the right depth and mystery for the evening. It exudes effortless elegance, like a silk scarf casually draped over the shoulder simple yet striking.
This fragrance has quickly become one of my favorites. It’s one of those scents that brings a smile every time you wear it. A true gem from L’Atelier Parfum, and a perfume I know I’ll return to again and again."
