THE FINEST NATURAL INGREDIENTS

In order to respect all facets of nature, the highest quality natural ingredients are carefully select- ed in France and around the world. That’s why L’Atelier Parfum has chosen to collaborate with the family-owned house of Robertet, a Grasse insti- tution whose exceptional history and craftsman- ship have contributed to perfumery for over 170 years. In the same vein, the essences used come from ethical and responsible sourcing, and the formulas consist of up to 98% naturally derived ingredients.

WHEN THERE IS NOTHING TO REMOVE, THERE IS NOTHING TO HIDE.

Parabens, PEG, phthalates, silicones, BHT, BHA, EDTA, phenoxyethanol—none of these components are present in the formulas. L’Atelier Parfum is commit- ted to avoiding any synthetic ingredient, potential endocrine disruptors, irritants, or pollutants. Priority is given to the quality, sustainability, traceability, and safety of each ingredient. The perfumes are 100% vegan, with no components of animal origin, and the cruelty-free formulas are never tested on animals.

BECAUSE EVERYTHING HAD TO BE DONE, WE COULD NOT DO IT ANY OTHER WAY.

High perfumery, yes, but with a serious commitment to transparency, respect for nature, and benevolence. These are the core values of the brand, forming the foundation of all its actions since day one. L’Atelier Parfum’s suppliers are carefully selected and certified, sharing a common vision focused on respecting natural diversities and preserving the environment. The brand prioritizes local sourcing in France and Europe, thereby reducing its carbon footprint and supporting local economies.

BECAUSE LIFE IS BETTER ON A CLEAN PLANET

The complete elimination of plastic remains a challenge in many industries because there are not yet perfect alternatives. This is the case for the pumps used in the bottles of L’Atelier Parfum, as well as the inserts in the caps. However, instead of waiting for the perfect solution, the founders have decided to take action now by partner- ing with CleanHub and committing to recover 5,000 kg of non-recyclable plastics destined for the oceans, coming from high-impact areas in Southeast Asia, just for this year. This initiative is equivalent to about five times the brand’s cur- rent footprint. More than just minimizing or neutralizing environmental impacts, the goal is to contribute positively to the environment.

L'ATELIER PERFUME X CLEANHUB

Since day one, we have been building our brand with a focus on quality, sustainability, traceability, and safety. We remain true to this promise by taking a stand against the plastic crisis. In addition to removing all the plastic we could from our packaging, we are also committed to recovering 5,000 kg of non-recyclable plastics destined for the ocean in high-impact regions of Southeast Asia this year alone. This represents approximately 16 times our current footprint, meaning that we are not only neutralizing our impact, but also having a positive effect on the environment.

WHY DO WE CARE ABOUT THIS ?

Current recycling and waste management methods are insufficient for the volume of plastic generated. There is growing demand for the collection of recyclable plastic, such as plastic bottles, because they can be turned into new products and therefore have value. However, non-recyclable plastics accumulate because there is no economic incentive to collect them; they have no value. These plastics are often burned, dumped, or sent to landfills, eventually ending up in the oceans. Approximately 80% of ocean waste consists of non-recyclable materials, more than 90% of which are found at depths that are impossible to recover.

WHAT IS CLEANHUB ?

To stop plastic from entering the ocean, it is important to significantly increase plastic recovery rates in areas with high leakage. To achieve this, CleanHub empowers local communities to manage their own plastic waste, creates incentives, develops waste management standards, and promotes local entrepreneurship. Recovering plastic from the environment involves three distinct operations. First, collecting the plastic, then sorting it according to its unique types, and finally, safe end treatment.

DEAR INDUSTRY, WE CHALLENGE YOU.

The global beauty industry is one of the biggest polluters when it comes to plastic packaging. It creates 120 billion units of packaging waste every year—most of which is not fully recyclable. And it contributes to the loss of 18 million acres of forest each year. 95% of beauty product packaging is thrown away after a single use—only 14% ends up in a recycling center, and the rest ends up in a landfill. The luxury beauty market, in particular, is still guilty of using unnecessary secondary packaging and single-use plastic packaging. We are taking action now. Join us.
